چکیده

Abstract It is quite important to develop the microorganism resources with biocontrol capacity for rice blast. This study evaluated Bacillus subtilis JN005 growth promotion and efficacy against Magnaporthe oryzae . Results showed that seeds treated 1 × 10 7 cfu/mL suspension of B. had 16% germination energy, 14% rate, 15% index, 270% vigor index compared those sterile water (control). In pot experiments, strain-treated plants exhibited notable increase in plant height, root length, stem circumference, fresh weight, as well higher concentration chlorophyll a, b, total leaves. Rice leaves inoculated strain resulted increased activities defense-related enzymes, including peroxidase (POD), phenylalanine ammonialyase (PAL), superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT) M. -inoculated treatments. vitro bacterial or control treatment lower disease incidence curative preventive groups by 79% 76%, respectively. Field experiment after spraying suspension, rates on controlling blast were (56.82 ± 1.12)% (58.39 3.05)% at seedling maturity stages, respectively, production yield was (524.40 17.88) g/m 2 Therefore, could be a promising biological agent blast, thereby warranting further investigation its efficacy.

Suppression of Magnaporthe oryzae and interaction between Bacillus subtilis and rice plants in the control of rice blast

Magnaporthe oryzae, the causative pathogen of rice blast, has caused extensive losses to rice cultivation worldwide. Strains of the bacterium Bacillus subtilis have been used as biocontrol agents against rice blast. However, little has been reported about the interaction between B. subtilis and the rice plant and its mechanism of action. Here, the colonization process and induced disease resist...

Growth in rice cells requires de novo purine biosynthesis by the blast fungus Magnaporthe oryzae

Increasing incidences of human disease, crop destruction and ecosystem perturbations are attributable to fungi and threaten socioeconomic progress and food security on a global scale. The blast fungus Magnaporthe oryzae is the most devastating pathogen of cultivated rice, but its metabolic requirements in the host are unclear. Here we report that a purine-requiring mutant of M. oryzae could dev...

Polyubiquitin Is Required for Growth, Development and Pathogenicity in the Rice Blast Fungus Magnaporthe oryzae

Protein ubiquitination, which is highly selective, regulates many important biological processes including cellular differentiation and pathogenesis in eukaryotic cells. Here, we integrated pharmacological, molecular and proteomic approaches to explore the role of ubiquitination in Magnaporthe oryzae, the leading fungal disease of rice world-wide. Inhibition of ubiquitin-mediated proteolysis us...

TPS1 drug design for rice blast disease in magnaporthe oryzae

Magnaporthe oryzae (M. oryzae) is a fungal pathogen and the causal agent of rice blast disease. Previous lipidomics analysis of M. oryzae demonstrated that trehalose, a carbohydrate common to various fungi and algae, is thought to be involved in the possible conversion of glycogen into triacylglycerides for energy, an important step in the pathogenesis of M. oryzae. A key enzyme responsible for...

The appressorium of Magnaporthe oryzae remains mitotically active during post- penetration hyphal growth in rice cells

To investigate the mitotic dynamics of an appressorium, we used time-lapse confocal imaging of a fluorescence-based mitotic reporter strain of Magnaporthe oryzae. We present evidence that: (i) appressoria remain viable and mitotically active after host penetration, (ii) appressorial mitosis, like invasive hyphal mitosis, is semi-closed, (iii) sister chromatids separate within the appressorium, ...
